Opelika Church of God "deepure" shirts.

Last week we shipped a fairly large order to Opelika Church of God. They will be wearing their shirts designed by Kendall Conner from Mission Baltimore at their "Deep Character. Pure Heart." conference.

Kendall has designed many of of the shirts we have printed this past year. He takes on freelance design work. If you are interested in having him design your next tee, give him a shout at: kconner@mbstudents.net.

S.B.G. Skate Shirts

We recently printed our first batch of skater shirts for S.B.G. Be on the lookout for these hitting the streets of Chicago.

Rumor has it they're selling as fast as Barack Obama memorabilia. We hope to see another round of these in our production line sometime soon!

Screen-Printing History: Series 1

This is the first series post covering the history of screen-printing. We believe it is important to learn where and how the process started to fully understand where screen-printing is headed today. Please join us on the journey to discover the roots of America's popular t-shirt.

Screen-printing was first developed in China during the Song Dynasty (960–1279 CE). The remaining Asian     countries accepted screen-printing and furthered the process with block printing and paints.

Screen-printing headed next to Western Europe via Asia sometime in the late 1700s, but did not gain widespread use in Europe until silk mesh was available from the east. Profitability was also a concern until this time period.

Screen-printing was first patented in England by Samuel Simon in 1907. Original uses included printing wall paper, linen, silk, and other fine fabrics. Western printers developed business policies in efforts to keep their workshops' knowledge and techniques secret.

Be sure to check back next week and learn where screen-printing headed during the early 1900's.

Baltimore Mission

We love seeing repeat customers, especially when they have such impeccable designs. Baltimore Mission continue to provide artwork we love to print.

Do you have artwork you think we'll enjoying printing? Any interesting Obama designs out there? What designs are you working on? We would love to see them...

Cheers,

-Brandon

Mission of Baltimore

Above is one of the shirts we recently printed for Mission of Baltimore. They also printed another lovely design, but sadly the battery of our camera died  while taking pictures. It has been a joy working with Kendall and the team. Please stop by their site to learn of the wonderful work they do in the city of Baltimore.
